UF2 legacy ultrasonic fogger resource

A part that fits physically can still be wrong electrically, hydraulically or for the clean environment.

Document the exact UF2 configuration before replacing the hose, power supply, drain components, fill hardware, fan or transducer-related parts.

Archival accessory profile

Commonly described UF2 components

Telescoping fog hose

Legacy material describes a 2-inch hose extending from approximately 28 to 82 inches.

External power supply

Published as 48 VDC, 200 W output with 120 VAC input and an optional 220 VAC version.

Carrying case

An optional case was shown for storage and transport.

Fill and level hardware

The platform used an easy-fill port, visible level indication and low-level transducer protection.

Send enough evidence to prevent the wrong shipment

  • UF2 model, serial and revision photographs.
  • Power-supply input/output label and connector.
  • Component dimensions and clear photographs.
  • Symptom and diagnostic evidence.
  • Cleanroom or application constraints.
  • Required delivery date and country.
  • Whether a current replacement evaluation is acceptable.
Commercial reality

Legacy-parts availability is not the same as supportability

Even when a hose, connector or supply can be sourced, the remaining transducers, sensor, enclosure and controls may still make the asset unreliable. Compare the total restoration risk with a current platform rather than spending incrementally on an unsupported configuration.

Frequently asked questions

Practical answers

Can I use any 48 VDC 200 W power supply?

No. Voltage and wattage are only part of the requirement. Confirm current capacity, polarity, connector, grounding, regulation, inrush behavior and compatibility with the exact UF2.

Can I use a smaller hose adapter for an isolator?

A smaller adapter increases restriction and can change fog velocity, pooling and output. Evaluate the pressure drop and study impact rather than assuming a physical connection is acceptable.

Define the application before choosing the replacement.

Applied Physics can compare the UF2 condition, room or enclosure, desired visible distance, runtime, water requirements, hose configuration and validation objective before recommending a current ultrasonic or LN₂ platform.
